[BC] trouble with an old BC-1G need advice

yes it is on the licence. and the base current is too. but antennas changes  
over time, that's why some need to be rebonded. and ground conductivity also  
changes. and what else changes an antenna is when you add a STL  
receiving/transmitting antenna or two. the resistance goes up, because of the  cable that 
goes up the antenna. the outside of it has to be grounded to it and  then 
isolated with an isocoupler.
someone let me know if i'm wrong here.
