Back in the golden age of "illegal" MP3 sharing, before the RIAA crackdown
on individual users, I did manage to find some needle-drop MP3s of songs
that were never released on CD -- for example, from the album "Joy" by the
British instrumental group Apollo 100. The Top 10 hit single of the same
name has found its way onto various '70s compilation CDs, but the entire
album has not been released on CD. Oh, you can find a "Best of Apollo
100" CD on Amazon.com, but it's an Import CD from a no-name label, it's
missing one track from the original LP, and the quality of the mastering
is said to be poor, to such an extent that the LP sounds far superior.
