[BC] AM Stereo On A Mono Radio

Ok, so I'm currently having some "arguments" with a few radio friends of
mine, some station owners (with minor technical background) and some long
time engineers.

If WABV were to go solid state, install an AM Stereo exciter and AM Strereo
audio processor, would we sound better even on a mono radio? Would we los
any range.

Right now, its about 75/25 .. with the 75 percent saying you wouldnt lose
any range and that even on a mono radio, an AM Stereo station would sound
better? (I even have the owner of a currently operating AM Stereo station on
the eastern seaboard agreeing with me..)

I'm looking purely for thoughts and opinions.. I know some people think AM
Stereo is dead etc, but I'm merely looking for the facts.
