[BC] WFYL 1180 Valcom Antenna/Dana

Hey Dana,

    I spoke with the manager/half owner (Vince) of WPDC-AM in
Elizabethtown, PA yesterday.  He told me they were very pleased with
their Valcom Antenna.  He made the statement that it sounded like they
got a power increase, and the audio sounded much better. They are using
the 75' Valcom radiator.
   There were leasing a 400' tower, running 500 watts, they moved to the
Valcom and they were much impressed. They have applied for 1 KW, daytime
and the 79 watts they had at the old site, they are working on trying to
get back. They are on 1600.
   I read Ron Rackley's document to the commission to allow AM
broadcasters to put up Valcoms with out having to do a six radial proof
of performance.
    He said that WJUN on 1220, which is not far from them, also has one
and they are pleased. These reports are making me think twice about the
Valcom Antenna.
