[BC] Analog to mp3 converter?

I don't think you understand what I need.  Audacity only works with
internal sound cards. I want to record line-level stereo on a laptop
that only has a mono mic input.  This means the A>D conversion must
done externally so that it can be inputted to the harddrive via USB.
