ugly as it may be... we have an old HollyAnne unit, to which I attached a 
DMP and a box of paper.

   The output has enough 'drop' that the weight of the paper makes the paper 
fold itself neatly into another box.  Same sorta thing we used to do with 
132colum greenbar.

   One box of paper lasts years.  One contiguous receipt.  remember to mark 
the end of each year, and check the ribbon once in a while.

   It seits in an out-of -the-way spot away from earshot of the mic.
