Again, I realize that. However, there can always be other opportunities 
that present themselves, besides basketball, before the basketball 
contract expires. And I'd imagine that there are myriad ways for the 
NCAA to make CBS' life miserable, long contract or no.

It simply is bad business to antagonize one's partners, and as many have 
pointed out in this topic, business is what it comes down to.
