Hello:
I've been spending a considerable amount of time lately, listening to the
music offerings on Comcast in my area; 70's and 80's channel s in particular. I
notice frequent "pumping" sounds in the processing for the 80's channels. It
is only there on some songs. I'm not sure if it is a headend issue at Comcast,
or if its an issue at the music provider that Comcast uses.
I'm wondering if anyone out there who is also a Comcast subscriber, could
confirm my listening critique; are you hearing the same thing? This is just to
satisfy my curiosity. I doubt Comcast could or would fix it. If my pictures are
not full of cross-modulation products, I consider it a good day. Getting that
fixed was quite a battle!
BTW, would the audio be any better if I went to an XM or Sirius solution? I
guess we'll always be plagued with audio processing artifacts, regardless of
the transmission pipe used. Should not be that way, given that the two most
outstanding processor manufacturers frequent this list :-) Although, I doubt th
eir
equipment is being used by Comcast. If it were, it would sound a hell of a
lot better, I'm sure.
Thanks for the signal report :-)
