Dave,

There is only one way to put it. There were giants that walked the
convention floor in those days. I remember fondly the basement, er ...
exhibit hall, of the Hilton in Chicago when Prose Walker would come
striding through, nearly always with a crowd in trail, not that he
brought assistants, but always seemed to draw a crowd asking questions
where he went. He was always in a hurry but not impatient. When he
retired as CE of the NAB it was a sad day for the industry although
many didn't recognize the change.
