Howdy.  I just joined the list, and I wanted to introduce  myself.
 
My name is Paul Gray, and I am an Amateur Radio Operator  (N0JAA). Although I 
am not a broadcast engineer, I have an interest in the  history of 
broadcasting, so I thought I would join the list to get a feel of  it.
 
Broadcast technology has always interested me, particularly in the history  
of vintage equipment, whether commercial or amateur.  I find it very  
interesting to compare the huge all-tube behemoths from the 1930's to the  solid-state 
transmitters of today.  One of my areas of special interest is  the early 
development of broadcasting, particularly with respect to such  pioneers as Tesla, 
Fessenden, Armstrong, and even those dubious characters,  Marconi and 
DeForest.
