Oh, one more point Mark. I clearly remember (I was about 13) while pushing
my nose up against the window (not literally) at the first radio station I'd
ever seen saying to myself: "Now that's what I want to do". (that's when
they had engineers and announcers in separate booths). It was exciting. I
went home, and with the help of my dad who was a Ham operator, and built my
own station with a 100Mw transmitter and all. My friends from school served
as staff. Yes, that was the extra gift and I really feel for those (and
there are many) who are not doing what they want or don't know what they
want to do in terms of a career. When I get bummed out about one thing or
another at work I try to remember that choice I made and that I'm more
fortunate than many.
