Nearly all transmitters I have been involved with used a single color wire
inside the boxes. Gates used numbered wires all brown for many years,
Continental used all white wires laced in the same harness and no numbereed until
the mod eighties. Most of the old WE and RCA's used either lead covered or
cotton covered black wire, In many cases the wires were numbered,

The Collins 820/830& 831 series used colored wires and white wires with two
color tracers so any woire could be traced in the harness by colors for many
years. Continental dropped that in their 816R when they ran out of wire.
