This same kind of garbage has been running rampant on most Broadcaster's
WEBsites. Some radio sites are utterly obnoxious. Maybe they think that by
overloading the site with animations and junk, they'll impress someone? Who knows? I
know that such sites become a major hinderance to visually-impaired users...
and since Radio is an audio medium, they rely heavily upon it. Our WEBsites
should always have a "Non-Flash" version for their benefit. Also, you have the
increasing use of the WWW by users of cell phones. Flash-based sites don't work
too well, there.
Overall, I think the issue addressed here is, "If ya got it, flaunt it!" It
goes for overdone TV Newscasts, *and* overdone WEBsites.
