I do not subscribe to AF, but I can see this thread going there.
Dana, I am pleased you have learned from me. Your logic is
impeccable. You were, however, remiss in omitting the word
PLEASE between "I" and "have".

In my case, I substitute "MISTRESS" for "SIR". Aside from
broadcast engineering, I volunteer as a babysitter. I baby-sit
for the daughter of the engineer who filled in for me when I
was in the hospital in 1997. Two weeks ago I sat for her,
now 2 1/2. Mommy and Daddy woke her up to bring her
over. It was 4 1/2 hours of pouting, crying, not wanting
to go to sleep. It's all punishment, I accept that.....
