Sarcastic about what Tom wrote.  That is the truth.  Do you not think that
the really big boys who are able to watch a 8 to 20 market region make more
dollars than one signal GM of the old days.  If not, why not?  And if an
engineer does not make the same dollars in relation, then if not, why not?
The reason that they are not paid a lot more is that they are considered to
value their worth by just having the job, period.  If a single owned station
cannot bill 10 million in a market, it may not even consider any more than a
contractor because it will not cost them more than 1 K a month.  And many of
the large stations make most of their money now off of non-broadcast related
income, ie print, promotionals, etc.

Tom is speaking the truth is jest.
But it is the truth none the less.
