You may consider yourself to be a Libertarian, but you are not one if
you think corporations, or any business, should be taxed at all.
Hell, I'm not sure you are even a true Republican.

WHY in the world should we tax businesses? It makes no sense.

Who pays those taxes? The business? NO! The buyer of the product or
service pays MORE because that business is taxed.

Additionally, the taxes on that business makes the products less
attractive to overseas buyers. We tax at so many levels that there is
no way to know how much of the price of the product is taxes. Japan
taxes businesses too, but only at finished goods levels, AND they back
out the taxes on exported products, making them more affordable
overseas. This is one more reason Japan is more competitive.
ABSOLUTELY NO TAXES ON EXPORTED GOODS!

Since we are paying the taxes anyway, wouldn't it be better to tax the
public, and only the public? The costs of products and services would
be much less, but not only because the taxes wouldn't be included, but
because they wouldn't have the expense of all the accountants, and
time collecting the information, and doing the work to actually PAY
the taxes. It is a win-win.

The costs of calculating taxes, filling out the forms, and the rest of
that overhead is enormous. We need to stop it.

We could kill off ALL taxes except for the estate tax and add a sales
tax. A sales tax is regressive, so we give all legal citizens $4500 a
year from the fed.

The less you make, the more important that money is to you.

The dirty little secret is that most people don't pay Income Tax
anyway. A single person doesn't pay taxes until they make well over
$20k anyway. Why should they have to waste their time filling our
forms, or more likely, spend their time and money at H&R Block?

Our tax system is totally disfunctional and a real waste of time and
money. BUT, taxing businesses is insane. We pay it anyway. It is
just another way they keep us from knowing how much we are REALLY
taxed, which is half your income.

When the Federal Income Tax started, it was 2%, mostly for the war,
and you wrote a check for the entire amount on March 15 for the
previous year.

It is only withholding that has allowed us to go up to 35% plus over
15% FICA for the self-employed. If they don't continue the so called
Bush tax cuts, that becomes 38% + over 15%. Then add one state income
tax for the states that have it, which most do, then sales tax, then
the included taxes on the stuff you buy. The TEA (Taxed Enough
Already) Party folks are right.
