[BC] The wrong way to deal with tech budgets

Dana,

That point right there is why there is a revolving door in the
engineering departments of many companies. It is a satisfying moment
when you see a company look for a qualified engineer and they expect
to pay them half of a decent salary. Many of these positions go
unfilled for a long time. The managers pat themselves on the back for
not "compromising" on their values by providing a decent budget and
salary to their technical department. During that time, their on-air
product drops in quality along with revenue....but hey, they saved a
few bucks along the way.
