[BC] Base Insulator Elevation

The past few years the Seattle Chapter of SBE has been having it's 
Summer Picnic right behind the KOMO-AM Transmitter building
on Vashon Island.  During one of these events it was pointed out 
that the tower tops are all at the same elevation, even though the 
ground level slopes.   The compensation was done with tower 
heights, not base elevation changes.   Apparently someone, in 
years past, wanted to have the towers all appear to be the same
height from a distance.

Please come join us.   Not only do you get to see a beautiful 
site (and it's pristine RCA Transmitter) but we usually have a 
tour  of the other historic transmitter sites on the island as well.
