What are the problems you experience with the AM-1A?
For grounds, you should have a 3" or 4" copper strap from
the transmitter to the ground ring at the tower base. You
should have a good electrical ground and surge suppressor
at the distribution panel. Place the toroids as shown in the
AM-1A manual. These should get you a good start.
