A friend purchased the handset and yes, the air time cards expire even if you don't use them. Many, if not all handsets accept wired headsets. Currently no vendor in my area offers Tracphone pay as you go handsets with Bluetooth or cameras. Verizon pay as you go handsets have a camera, and a daily use charge added to "air time."
