How do you make the leap from Mission Statement to not having good sales people? How many of Pappas' sales people do you know? Are you familiar with all of the affected stations and markets? I suggest, Mr. Walker, that you take a moment to read your posts out loud before you hit <send>.
John...yes, a Pappas employee.

I actually agree with you!
When I read the article, my very first thought was "Pappas is passing
the buck". If CW programming was so "sucky" and ratings weren't
good..... umm..CHANGE PROGRAMMING/FORMAT????
Mission statements don't mean CUH-RAP if you don't have good sales people.

You can blame it on outsiders, or you can look at their own business moves.
A couple of TV stations they owned were pretty suspect. People have been
asking about their KTRB moves. So to blame it on the "whores" is passing
the buck. Pappas can have the greatest mission statement in the world, but
if they dont make smart business moves they are doomed. (BTW it was pretty
well known even before NAB that this was going to happen.)
