I had these in San Diego and New Orleans.  They worked well.  I never read
the text to which you refer, I just plugged them in and watched the scroll
go by.

That looks like a nifty unit... but some of the text they use is "odd".

One of these days, I might end up renting a car with an IBUZ radio... but 
then again, maybe not.
