Yup, I had an SMC by the same name, given by the GM. And I'll bet it
(F.R.E.D.) stood for essentially the same thing.....

And it was a big nipper if you weren't careful. Actually, even though (or
maybe because) it kept me gainfully employed, I did like the darn thing. It
was an interesting gadget to learn....
