[BC] RE: TV tower kills birds

There is a natural explanation that has nothing to do with the supposedly  
eveil effects of having those nasty radio towers around...

Not unusual this time of year in our area to see large numbers of  
migrating small birds congregate in large dead trees. Or in and around any  
similar structure with plenty of places to perch and 360 degree sight  
lines. Like your friendly neighborhood radio tower.  The birds do this so  
they can watch out for hawks, while they rest for the night.

Take a more northerly location (Binghamton, Madison) throw in a cold rain  
on these tired stressed birds, and it may well rain dead birdies.  Has  
nothing to do with the birds flying into guy wires or being confused by  
red lights. (if they were confused by two or three code beacons at a  
couple of hundred feet up, what about a traffic jam on a freeway overpass  
at night?
