    And the reason for that? The telco's can then become cable TV folks. 
They will NOT run the broadband RF down the DSL, like you do with cable, 
instead, the average house will have a box with three ports, to feed 
three HDTV sets. Your remote control will switch "your" digital feed at 
the central office. Three 19.4 MB signals times three leaves lots of 
room left over. Slick technology.

       The baby bells are being killed by cable and Voip. I am going to 
drop my absurd $ 45/month SBC bill for what I see will be only the $ 
15/month plan from Vonage. I have five people at work who have been on 
it long enough that I'm willing to try it.

    The big question is, will the telcos have the money to implement 
this type of cable TV? And will they be competitive on the pricing?
