         It was explained to me that the current NWS software
         does not connect with the IPAWS. Could this be
         only in specific areas?

         None? For the past two days? Personally,
         I have no way to know for sure, just
         what I heard from the major networks.
         Why would they not have sent WEA?

         Yes, if there is cell coverage *and* the
         kids were allowed to have their phones.
