The activations may be related to achild abduction in Sunnyvaleearly Sunday morning. SunnyvalePD had CHP issue an AMBER Alert around 4 AM Sundaymorning. The 2-yoa victimwas sleeping in his mom's car, which she left running while she unloaded groceries. The suspect took the carand drove around the Bay Area until late afternoon. He left the car in a parking lot where it was spotted by a Sunnyvale patrol officer. The child was safely recovered around 6 that evening. As I recall, a suspect was arrested. There was some issue with names, someone identified as a suspect who was not a suspect.
KCBSor CHP may have repeated the AMBER Alert. It should have been issued in the CAP format, which is usually problem-free, but nothing's perfect...
