On reconsideration... i think I want to say "well suited" rather than "better suited."

I seem to recall one learning around 2015 that a California region--Fresno?--was served by a TV LP-1, and possibly an LP-2. 

IIRC, a radio station engineer was noting that the station declined to continue in that role, but had not been replaced.
