>>Please don't just get here on the EAS email list and preach to the choir on ideas you disagree (or agree) with - PLEASE FILE COMMENTS. If the FCC hears no

Yes, this is exactly what I was saying during Barry's lunchtime web session yesterday (very good info from NWS, by the way, at that session).

File comments. If you don't voice an opinion, don't complain about what happens afterwards. It takes seconds to file even informal comments on the FCC's site: https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/search/filings?proceedings_name=15-94&q=(proceedings.name:((15-94*))%20OR%20proceedings.description:((15-94*)))&sort=date_disseminated,DESC

Just go to the webpage header and click on "Submit a Filing", and identify 15-94 as the EAS proceeding. 15-91 as well, if you are speaking to WEA.

Regarding sharing info across SECCs, wasn't there an FCC advisory panel that existed before the CSRIC process started. CSRIC is good, but each round of committees have different agenda topics (for example the next CSRIC will be about 5G and net security, not about public warning per se, or even broadcast radio/TV in general). A mechanism for SECCs to share best practices could happen under the FCC's auspices, as a standing council in addition to CSRIC . but couldn't SECC's coordinate voluntarily, perhaps even under some support sharing arrangement across industry associations?

There was a flurry of Comments filed by last Tuesday's NPRM deadline, including one filer's Comments received a day late but still posted.

As of today, we have only 11 days left to file Reply Comments.
Some of the Comments that I thought might elicit Reply Comments are:
- NWS proposal "on incorporating WEA and other public alerting systems as part of each State EAS Plan."
- Washington State SECC: "We strongly encourage establishment of a mechanism that SECCs could share their best practices" - sounds like a great idea to support - for upcoming new CSRIC Working Group?
