[EAS] Time to make the LP daisy chain an option

Many of us experience versions of the West Virginia case for FFW's. Some of you may remember I started to label this condition years ago with a name that has caught on to an extent - "message flooding." Because of the major program disruptions that drive audiences (and program directors) crazy, some EAS Participants I am aware of have voluntarily stopped relaying all NWS EAS events.

The BWWG has had annual face-to-face discussions at the Spring NAB as well as an ongoing email dialog with NOAA NWS Hq. people as a result of identifying the issue. The NWS people we talk to are well aware of the problem. I think they will eventually solve it. You may see in the near future word about an experiment to mitigate the effects of message flooding that were discussed last Spring at our NAB meeting organized by NV SECC Chair Adrienne Abbott.

So, those of us who are actually work for EAS Participants know the answer to the question that started this branch of the LP thread understand -- even if some people outside the industry do not.
