If SAGE charging $395 for the update gets your drawers in a wad...   DASDEC units with less than v3.0 firmware will have to be updated to v3.0 for almost $500 and THEN updated to v4.0 for another $500.  The DASDEC units that I maintain are all in the neighborhood of v2.6 firmware.

I have clients that are being quoted a little shy of $1000 to update a DASDEC.  I know of at least one (and possibly more) that will be junked.
