Regarding EAS logs, I would strongly suggest backing up any
electronically stored files on at least one other medium since single
computers are known to die sudden and horrible deaths.
That being said, printing the log on a weekly basis, signing it, and
then filing it makes the archived log immune to computer difficulties
and it can be recalled quickly.
I have also never received a good explanation of how I can prove that
the electronic log was inspected, by who, and when, like I can with a
printed log.
By printing the log contained in the EAS appliance, all alerts sent and
received are archived, negating any discussion of what needs to be
logged and what doesn't.
In Nebraska, at this time, all that you need to make sure of is that the
station(s) logs show received SR and NWS RWT's, RMT's regardless of
Nebraska source*, and that the station(s) sent their RWT's and relayed
the RMT for that month. Alerts such as AMBER, Wx. and other alerts are
not required to be logged, but the machine should do that anyway.

*We have had instances lately of stations near state borders having
their EAS appliances incorrectly programmed and they were relaying out
of state RMT's.
