[EAS] Main Studio Question

IMHO There should be some other issues addressed -

First - I fully understand the obligation that every station has in terms of
being connected to sources of EAN'S/NPT's etc. and that compliance in this
area takes priority. Feeding sources of those messages to a participant
can be done many ways....Including internet based systems.

Second - There should also be an effort to serve the consumers of EVERY
station with public warning messages that are applicable to
 those consumers.

Examples -

Weather warnings should be for the forecast area served by this station -
and not be imported from afar (yes, this happens)

Government entities that are the sources of public warnings - within- the
stations target area should be able to use that facility for public warnings
as well. If this requires the installation of EAS equipment at transmitter
sites, then so be it.

My gripe is with the Satellite Fed transmitters whose listeners are
purposely kept in the dark regarding potential life saving messages by
operators that are quick to claim that they are FCC compliant.
