WEA has it's problems too. This past week, our office location experienced
a 2"+ rain event in less than an hour. Local WFO issued a FFW for the area
and all the phones in the building went off in close concert. Fair
enough...that part of the system worked.
However, one phone blared the alert tones 5 times over the course of 15
minutes. It was sitting in the kitchen as the owner was in a studio doing
a live interview.
Is WEA supposed to repeatedly blare it's alert tones until acknowledged?
If so, such a use is completely misguided and drains a device's
battery...during what is an emergency situation. Particularly where
message flooding is occurring.
