[EAS] The California Fires - Another view

I can hear the San Francisco sirens every Tuesday at noon. Indoors
at home and indoors in a modern office.

But then former KFOG DJ Dave Morey intones "This is only a test"
which much of the time is unintelligible. In some areas that is
followed by a woman's voice in one of the Chinese versions.

At my place in the Santa Cruz mountains, Lompico, the Zayante Fire
Protection District has a small engine stationed at Fire Station No.
2 at the bottom of the canyon with a fire siren. That's a volunteer
department and the siren has been there for eons, long before pagers.

YMMV
