SECC Chairs appointed by the FCC? Chairs serve at the pleasure of the FCC?
I will have to see chapter and verse on this before I believe it.

I am the Nebraska SECC Chairman and I serve at the pleasure of the 
volunteer SECC members.
We have elections and 2 year terms of office, and I have never seen 
anything regarding FCC appointment in the current rules and regs.

I talked to Greg Cooke yesterday for a half hour and had a VERY 
productive conversation with him. Hopefully Nebraska will have their 
first ever State EAS Plan that follows the letter and spirit of the 
regulations, and actually work, in very short order.
