If you want a look at one possible future of weather warnings from
the NOAA National Severe Storms Laboratory , see

If you only a few moments to spend, look at the video starting at
1:40 and the one at 2:40 - or watch the whole thing.
The concept is that even polygons might not tell you enough about
what is happening to make a decision on what action a user needs to
take - as a severe storm is really a moving set of
probabilities. How does that get mapped onto discreet CAP alerts -
and how does it relate to radio? Interesting times.
