Seattle is doing some good things in this regard ... Understanding that not
all Stations or News Operations will be functional after our 'Big One' .
Phil Johnson (LECC Chair for the greater Seattle area and member of the
WaState SECC) can elaborate.

We might also speculate about the implications of no-main-studio on radio
news.  Certainly folks tend to get together and pool their resources after a
disaster.  But it's hard to pool capabilities that no longer exist.  With
corporate broadcasters retreating to their head-ends, I'd speculate that
traditional local radio news may become almost exclusively the domain of
public radio stations (to the extent that they have resources themselves.)
