Approximately 70% of PSAPs experience some type of outage each year. Most
PSAP outages are small and short; but some aren't.
Verizon fined $3.4 million for April 2014 outage
Centurylink fined $16 million for April 2014 outage
Intrado fined $1.4 million for April 2014 outage
T Mobile fined $17.5 million for August 2014 outages
GCI (Alaska) fined $2.4 million for five outages between 2008 and 2015
Sprint find $1.2 million for multiple 911 problems in 2014
