[EAS] FCC BLU Alert Proposal

Conversely, if anyone on this list takes this kind of issue seriously, they should be filing comments on the FCC' Electronic Comment Filing System, rather than merely posting thoughts here.

The FCC can't act, and can't take any opinions into account unless they are on the record.  The EAS list - valuable though it is - is not "part of the record."

The FCC takes up the BLU alert NPRM on next Thursdays open commission meeting.  After that, it will be posted, and open for comment on the electronic filing system.  

Some folks on the EAS list have posted substative concerns.  They migh want to consider even a cut and paste from their email into the ECFS as a filing (with some polishing, of course).

You can easily access the ECFS at https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/ 

The proceeding will be 15-94, which is the omnibus proceeding for things EAS.  Be assured, the FCC takes comments files on ECFS into account.  They cannot take into consideration anything said here on the EAS list.
