[EAS] Oroville Dam Evacuation...oh that was close

We tell that sort of story time after time and yet the results continue to be disappointing.  Clearly we aren't getting to the heart of it.

Case in point: The same storm that affected the Oroville Dam also took out my home telephone connection, as well as my home internet connection. So, no social networking available to me at home 9the only place I regularly use it). So, EAS and WEA are the only ways I would have known about the evacuation, had I been below the dam. I am sure I am not the only person who lost their internet connection. AT&T gave me a 5 day lead time before they can restore it. I am still waiting.
