That was the confusing thing about Gorman's waiver request. It was a
waiver for unnamed equipment from "other" manufacturers.
But Gorman didn't identify how many licensees were affected, what
equipment was affected, or how long the waiver was needed (forever, until
the equipment stops working).
I think there is an argument that legacy EAS equipment is still useful,
e.g. the Sage 1822 "grey" box, still works as a confidence monitor or by
an Emergency Management Agency to monitor local EAS operations.
