Clay,

I apologize for being grounded in reality. My days of live
broadcasts of the Grateful Dead (professional users of recreational
drugs) where reality wasn't are long over . . . (But I do have some
great stories to tell.)

When I spoke out at the NAB meeting and told the group (and the
panel) that my Naval experience was training and training and
training but as a result we all knew what to do when something bad happened.

The Admiral smiled.

We all recognize the importance of training. As Art Botterell points
out there is a limited amount of grant funds and when people have a
mindset that grants = new equipment (a/k/a "toys") training gets left
behind. There might be some training on Day Number One but the
critical training is continuous. Everybody needs to know what to do
when the Once In A Lifetime event happens.

I will now get off my soap box.
