So does anyone actually know or have details of what was broadcast on
cable systems vs television vs radio vs mobile phone?
So far its mostly been reporting that "the message was truncated," but no
youtube videos of what appeared on the air.
That would help narrow down whether a problem was the CAP text was too
long; or if some participants got it first through CAP, and other
participants got it relayed from another EAS station. Although CAP may
have full text, EAS relayed participants would only have the EAS header
translation. Its also important to understand if Suffolk included an
audio message, or only text.
It does demonstrate that EAS/WEA are extremely loud doorbells, and
extremely effective at getting everyone's attention. Now we need to
work on the message that goes with the loud doorbell.
