What is it with that stretch from St. Joseph north to Omaha ?
I've read in Lewis and Clark's journals about storms coming up and across
the river in a split-second
In 2009 I was heading up I-29 about 40 N of St J when the sky went from
'just cloudy' to pitch black in about 60 seconds
Rain was washing over the hood and windshield in WAVES
And of course there's no shoulders along there to pull over
All I could do was keep the truck ahead of me in sight and all of sudden we
broke out into bright sunshine........
