I told the ETRS folks at the FCC about the latitude and longitude
discrepancy that I discovered on the pre-populated forms. That being
that the pre-populated figures did not correspond to the actual siting
points of the towers. Today I received a reply that they had indeed had
an incorrect data set when they built the form but have now switched to
a more accurate data set If anyone used the pre-populated latitude and
longitude and filed their forms before today, I would strongly suggest
going back and reviewing those two items to make sure they are correct.
I am guessing now, but I imagine that they used NAD 27 figures initially
and then changed to NAD 83 figures. I used Franson Coord Trans to do my
calculations and when I populated the latitude and longitude boxes with
those figures it put the tower site in the correct place. Before that it
was 3-4 miles off.
