Dave: Connecticut does not use a cancellation message. We never have since
the beginning. Media here is so condensed....normal sources will get a
cancellation on air as quickly as we could with another AMBER message. We
also try to minimize the number of times we use the system. 99% of our
stations are set up for auto relay of the AMBER code.

Historically Idaho hasn't issued any type of "cancellation" message
regarding Amber alerts. I'm aware that some states do. I would like a
little feedback on what event code that you use and whether you always issue
these, or only under some circumstances such as the alert being cancelled
prior to the CAE expiring. And, for that matter, if any of you have any
specific reasons that you think such cancellation messages should NOT be
issued via EAS.
And while we are at it.... I'm curious whether WEA provides any mechanism
for similar cancellation messages.
Thanks
