Richard,
I am exhibits only and would plan to attend. It would nice to be able to
attend the prior formal session as well. Which on it's face should be open
to all and not just to full registrees.
1) It it my opinion that licensees will do what ever is most expedient and
least costly lest they define a specific mission directive. Thus, I
suspect most will bail on EAS massages lacking the pre-formatted
captioning component.
2) It is my opinion the BBWG should walk very carefully of involving
itself into the SECC's relationships with their states.
3) Conversely, NIMS training and familarization with EAS would seems to be
a prudent goal universal goal.
4) I think if licensees took EAS more seriously, then the EMA folks
wouldcould then realize EAS true potential. This harkens back to my long
standing notion there should be compulsory carriage of select call to
action messages. I don't wish to open that can of worms however. Just that
if media is going to be taken seriously as a warning dissemination
partner, then media need to act the part.
