I would add......IF those tasks considered outside our area of usual 
employment are framed as a request and not a demand

I'll generally do any 'handyman' small thing that needs done if I have the 
tools and time.....but not if it comes across as 'you need to do xxx'

no, I don't 'need' to do it.  There's plenty of other work at other places, 
I don't do demands for that type of work.
