        The response from most stations is
        not to run EAS alerts.... because they
        sound so bad on the air - but will not
        reach out to make things better.

        How about the management. Do they
        see EAS as a valuable thing to have
        on the air?  Or do they not even 
        think of EAS at all?  <ggg>
